These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DoorMinder application and website ("DoorMinder", "we", "us"). By linking or using DoorMinder, you agree to these Terms. DoorMinder is an independent application that works with Ring devices and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ring or Amazon.

The service

DoorMinder monitors the Ring contact sensors you choose to share and sends email notifications when a door is left open beyond your configured threshold, and when it is subsequently closed. DoorMinder is an informational aid and convenience tool.

Not a security or life-safety system

DoorMinder is not a security, alarm, or life-safety system and must not be relied upon as one. Notifications depend on third-party services (including Ring and email providers), network availability, and device connectivity, and may be delayed, undelivered, or unavailable. Do not use DoorMinder for any situation where a failure could lead to injury, loss, or property damage.

Eligibility and accounts

You must have a Ring account and compatible Ring devices. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email associated with your account and for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

• Use DoorMinder only for devices and locations you are authorized to monitor.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Do not use DoorMinder to violate the privacy or rights of others.

Subscriptions

Paid plans, if applicable, are described on the Pricing page and managed through Ring My Apps in your Ring app.

Disclaimer of warranties

DoorMinder is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoorMinder and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed, delayed, or inaccurate notifications or from reliance on the service.

Termination

You may stop using DoorMinder at any time by disconnecting it from Ring My Apps. We may suspend or terminate the service or your access if these Terms are violated or to protect the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
